Student in another province
Hi,
My permanent residence is Ontario. I go to school in Quebec and receive a scholarship there.
In 2022, I lived in University residence in Quebece from January-April. I rented a room in a house in Quebec from May -December. So I had both residence and rental situations in Quebec.
From May -August, I lived and earned income in Ontario.
Do I file my tax return as an Ontario resident? And if so, how do I claim the scholarship income in Quebec?
Or do I file as a Quebec resident? And if so, how do I claim my Ontario employment income?
Or do I somehow file as some kind of hybrid resident and allocate income and rent based on the time spent in each province.
Thanks
