As per TurboTax, whether it’s a campground or Airbnb, whoever is hosting you must be registered for the Goods and Services Tax (GST)/ Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). It must appear on the detailed receipt.
Because you were not provided with a GST/HST number on your receipt, you may not claim this credit.
However, you may contact the owner of the Airbnb to send you a new receipt with the GST and the actual amount paid.
