Hello! I rent a regular apartment in Indiana. Not income-based or school housing, just a normal apartment. Turbo Tax asks me if I paid rent, and how much I paid, but that's it, and says I can claim a renter's deduction of $3,000. I just wanted to double check that this is accurate, because I've been given conflicting answers online in regards to whether or not property taxes are involved, but I really don't know. I don't want to have an inaccurate tax return. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
