I am currently completing my 2023 self-employed income and have a projected balance due of nearly 1000$ for my QC taxes even though I declared less than 16 000 in total net income and around 10 000 for my business.

How is it possible to accrue so much tax when I am hardly past the personal amount?

Am I doing something wrong or is this a possible tax scenario?
