In TurboTax Standard 2023, Schedule AB(S11), Line 1, a pre-filled amount, is incorrectly pulling the unused FEDERAL tuition and education amount from the "Carry Forwards from 2022" form, rather than pulling the amount from the "Unused PROVINCIAL tuition and education amount from 2022 NoA".
Schedule AB(S11) states: "if you resided in a province/territory OTHER THAN ALBERTA on Dec 31, 2022, you CANNOT claim unused tuition/education amount." In my case, I should NOT be able to claim any unused provincial amounts.
Schedule AB(S11) Line 1 should be zero if the "Province/territory of residence at the end of 2022" is NOT Alberta.
Will this get fixed before filing deadline, since it will under-report the provincial taxes owing!
