In case you are getting errors such as the following when trying to open Turbotax "download" 2023 after installation:
"You're not connected to Internet"
Or
"An unexpected error occurred while activating product"
What fixed the problem on my end was setting my local DNS to 8.8.8.8 (Google DNS).
My DNS was previously set to a local service which every other program works well with, but for whatever reason Turbotax complains about.
