When I type "Self-Employment" etc into that Search input field and hit Return, it just offers up one result, which takes me to the initial:
"Your Self-Employment or Business Summary"
...with that ^ page containing the teal green "Edit" link adjacent to the net income total for my business. Clicking on which - results in me having to step through those 14 web page screens I described, to simply access, and update my business expense deductions.
The Search does allow me to land on either of the pages I described we need to navigate directly to: ("Select the type of expenses you have" or "Here's your (business type) info" which would bypass those 14 web page screens.
We need the 2022 sidebar - which allows us a way to not be forced every time through this 14 screen questionnaire, when we just want to update one deduction amount (eg. business travel).
