I just got an update from Wealthsimple from the team leader there.
She says that a lot of their users have contacted them with the same issue and that their programmers are in contact with the CRA to try and resolve it.
They don't have a timeline but at least they're working with the CRA.
Maybe Turbotax are doing the same thing but I haven't seen any comments to confirm that.
I will wait a while to see what happens- give it a week or so and if it doesn't look positive then I'll probably mail in the return to the CRA. I really don't want to do that but we may have no choice.
I saved a copy of the CRA return and studied it line by line and all of the numbers look accurate on schedule 8 and on line 30800 of the T1 based on the calculations but for some reason Netfile won't accept it.
I was able to submit the return to Revenu Quebec so I'm just waiting to see what happens with the CRA issue.
