First Time Home Buyers Tax Credit. Which year should the credit be claimed if the home was purchased in November 24 and closed in Feb 2025. Move in was also in Feb 2025

Troubleshooting

You would go based on when you closed, so in your case you would claim the First Time Home Buyers Tax Credit on your 2025 tax return.
