Yes.  You pay your amount.  She will get the refund.

i did a joint return in Turbotax with my wife.  My refund was 2900 - my wife owes 700.  the amount in the "your refund Amount" box says 2200.  As I go to file, the software asks me to pay my wife's $700 amount...fine.  Then I go to my part to collect refund and it still says 2200....should it not account for me paying the 700 and therefore give me my full refund amount of 2900? thanks!

You can pay an amount owing online.  I don't believe you can collect a refund on line.  CRA will either direct deposit or send a cheque for the full amount of your refund.

ok.  I guess I will just trust that will happen.  I paid the amount owing online.  Assume the direct deposit refund will be for the full 2900.  thanks for your help!

You should be able to see the full refund amount for you if you click on the review tab > bottom line > and scroll down to detailed tax summary.
