I live in Ontario and work in Quebec. When I file, I receive error 95031 and a reference to line 50310. But there is no line 50310 on my T1. Can you help?

Troubleshooting

Please review your T4 slip:

If box 10 indicates Quebec as the province of employment: Verify that boxes 16 and 16A are empty.

If box 10 indicates a province other than Quebec: Verify that boxes 17 and 17A are empty.

Boxes 16 and 16A are both empty on the T4 that lists Quebec as the province of employment. This seems to be a wider issue as other tax software also seems to have the same problem. Are you checking with CRA that it is not a problem on their end? How will we know if it has been fixed?

Troubleshooting

@sirine If you live in ON and work in QC, you probably received a RL 1.

You need to enter the T4 as it is and enter the box E of RL 1 at the bottom of the T4.

I did that as well. But the error I am having doesn’t seem to be related to that.

Troubleshooting

What do you have in Box 10 (which Province) on your T4 slip? And are you using an online version or a desktop version of TurboTax?

I have Quebec in box 10 and I’m using the online version.

I found a work around online. Deleting the amount in box 17A in the T4 for Quebec employment.
