SOFTWARE ERROR - T5008 entries NOT rolling forward onto Schedule 3
I have have entered capital gain amounts reported on T5008 schedules for my tax return. However, when i look at the Schedule 3, i see that these gains are NOT being brought forward which in turn is under-reporting the proper capital gains i need to claim for the year. There is a line specifically on the Schedule 3 that is supposed to show capital gains from T5008 entries and this line is blank. this is a program error that needs to be fixed ASAP. I am NOT able to override these lines on the Schedule 3 to fix this error.

Troubleshooting
Through trial and error I figured it out. If the date of disposition is before June 25 2024 then teh data will transfer to sched 3. but if on or after it will not. June 25th was the date that CRA was going to change the inclusion rate, but in the end the rate didnt change but it was late notice and CRA did not update all forms adn i guess the software looks for this date. Seems like a glitch in turbo tax.

Yeah, I had to put in the disposition date to get it to work. There are two different parts to schedule 3 it could put them in based on the date - so maybe TT needs the date to know where to put it. I didn't have to do this in previous years.

Troubleshooting
I would hope that TurboTax could make an adjustment to solve this issue. I just had to manually insert a date of 01/01/2024 for 48 entries on one client. Downloading T5008s from CRA ends up creating an incredible number of entries....so I am not pleased...
Also, I assume that thousands of TurboTax users will not notice this issue and incorrectly file their returns....

Thank you! You found the answer - I also had 3 items that would not transfer from the T5008 form to Schedule 3, but changing the date of disposition did the trick.
