Had the same problem as everybody else, and none of the recommended solutions worked although I was able to file my wife with no problems.
The workaround that I found was to remove the gates from the T3 input and input the same values into the T5008 slots And then had no problem using that file. A D is the same whether it’s reported on the T3 form or the T5008 form. I put the adjusted tap base a zero for the I am transferred from the T3 and didn’t bother with number of securities or sale date
