I think you missed the part at the end when I said that the Tax Expert I had helping me agreed that the Age Amount is NOT transferred, at least in my specific circumstances. Specifically when I showed her what I expected to happen when I moved the Medical Expenses between spouses, that the program should have moved the Age Amount and did not. The key is that in moving the Medical Deductions (from the higher to lower income spouse), the lower income spouse already had sufficient non-refundable credits that the extra medical deduction gave too many credits - - - therefore, the optimizing program should've moved the Age amount to the other spouse and did not! The tax Expert agreed that it looked like a bug.
