Request for Refund of NETFILE Fee – Deceased Taxpayer

I hope this message finds you well.

I recently attempted to file a tax return using TurboTax’s NETFILE service but encountered an issue where the system flagged the taxpayer as deceased, making the return ineligible for electronic submission. I understand that paper filing is required in such cases.

Since I had already paid for the NETFILE service, I would like to inquire whether I am eligible for a refund of the fee, given that the service could not be used as intended. Could you kindly clarify:

  1. The refund policy for this scenario.

  2. Any steps I need to take to process the refund.
