Troubleshooting
I had same problem last night and today. I have version 0.01.72.
My son had the same problem and he does have a principal residence.
i opened schedule 3 and under flipped Residence I said NO. Not certain if this will be an issue with CRA but I was able to file all 3 returns.
this is a glitch with QT and they should refund me for this software. I spent 4 hrs on this.

Troubleshooting
I went through the flow from the beginning and the principal residence part is only later and it does not apply as I clearly indicated that I did not dispose of a property or residence. Same error occurred with my son’s return he does not have a house as he rents. Go figure.

Troubleshooting
Hi,
I had the same error doing the sale of a principal residence, split between spouses on Turbotax. Let me walk you through what I did. I cleared all the forms: Go under the menu- edit - forms and clear all the forms (one of the sub menus under forms). This means, schedule 3, schedule T92091s and also the Principal Residence Worksheet. You know you have done this if if you "close unused forms" and those forms don't show up anymore. Then go to the "Easy Steps" and work through the many questions. Skip them or move on until you get to where you have "have you sold a property". Say "Yes". Then, it will walk you through the steps. This worked for me after many tries and a call to Turbotax call center (good staff but they did not have any idea how to solve it) and trial and error. Hope this works for you.
