Rounding is NOTthe only cause of error 95365. The following case will also result in this error.
- For the record, I have a single T3 with a value in box 53 and no values anywhere in box 52. Box 21 is equal to Box 53. To be "safe" I rounded both boxes 21 and 53 to be the same dollar value. Error 95365 nevertheless
- Here are the specific circumstances:
- Assume there is a positive value in boxes 21 and 53 of the T3s resulting in this positive value appearing in line 17600 of Schedule 3
- Further assume however that because of losses from T5008s, overall, Schedule 3 results in a capital loss.
- Line 1of Chart A of T936, then contains a negative value,
- As indicated in the instructions appearing in said line 1, lines 2 to 19 of Chart A do not need to be filled if line 1 is negative.
- Turbotax therefore correctly sets the value of line 68140 (aka line 15) of T936 to 0, irrespective of the fact that that line 17600 of Schedule 3 contains a positive value
- However, CRA's checking expects the value of line 68140 to be equal to line 17600 and generates error 95365 because, to quote from the message "line 68140 cannot be less than line 17600"...
I tried overriding line 68140 and setting it to the value of line 17600 but this prevents Netfiling.
I will try Netfiling again in a few days and hope that the issue is fixed...
