TurboTax won't execute on Win11Pro

After installation of TurboTax 2024 on a new laptop running Windows 11 Pro the program is executed and a window pops up indicating it is "checking server for latest updates". The window flashes up for a brief instance then disappears. The program never starts.  I start Task Manager and TurboTax isn't listed as a process that is running, it isn't listed as an App running or a Background Process running. I'm logged on as an administrator and have tried "run as administrator" numerous times. Win11 is fully up-to-date. Tried running in compatibility mode; nothing. Any ideas?

Troubleshooting

For installation issues, make sure you are following these points:

 

You have administrator rights on the profile where you are installing TurboTax. Windows have been updated.

You are not attempting to install on the cloud.

 

Turn off your antivirus software and Windows Defender before installation, and make sure to turn them on once activation is successful.

I suggest uninstalling the software and reinstalling it by using this updated link for 2025.
