Troubleshooting
Have you tried resetting your modem? I would suggest doing that. You can also try the following troubleshooting steps:
Make sure TurboTax is up to date.
Close TurboTax.
Right-click the TurboTax icon on your desktop.
Select "Run as Administrator."
Try to file again.
Firewalls and antivirus programs (like Norton, McAfee, or Bitdefender) often mistake the tax transmission for suspicious activity.
Temporarily disable your antivirus/firewall for 10 minutes.
If you have a VPN active, turn it off—tax servers often reject connections from VPN IP addresses to prevent fraud.
