Troubleshooting
Thank you for confirming. Please follow the steps below to troubleshoot:
- Check for Updates: Ensure you have the latest version of TurboTax installed.
- Verify Data Entry: Delete the affected T5008 entry and re-enter it carefully, ensuring no extra zeros were added in the "number of units" box.
- Use the "Group" Method: If you have many T5008 slips, try grouping them together and entering them as one total, using December 31 as the date of disposition.
- Delete and Re-enter (No Import): Since you did not use Auto-fill, delete the entry and manually enter the data again to ensure it isn't a cache/save issue.
- Make sure to choose "Capital Gains" as the type of income.
