@Clubber, The error means the residency status and arrival date are not matching properly in the software. Even though you entered the arrival date and foreign income, the program may not be officially marking the person as an “immigrant.” That’s why CRA is rejecting it. Make sure that the residency status is correct. 

Also, if they are a first-time filer and CRA does not have their record, they may receive a Netfile error. In that scenario, they must print and mail their return to the CRA.
