Troubleshooting

Thank you for your reply, Susan.

There are a few problems here.  First, CRA has not provided the FHSA information  on the Notice of Assessment.  When I called them they indicated it was not available.  (We had used TurboTax last year, so I have no idea what the problem might be.)  When I spoke with CRA about filling out the FHSA Schedule 15 form, they suggested doing "my best" and sending it in as is.  I called TurboTax support about the issue and they agreed there appeared to be some problem with the schedule or the accompanying TurobTax lack of instructions.  The actual Schedule 15 instructions (if you go to the Forms view) indicate that much of Schedule 15 is not applicable in the scenareo I have described.  For example, Steps 2 nd 3 are only copleted if we have unused deductions if we had a newly 2025 opened FHSA or were a successor (the CRA wording on this is open to misinterpretation).

Also, the last field to fill out using the EasyStep is "Your unused FHSA contributions available to deduct in future years.  Is this not determined by your action this year and thus wold not be provided by CRA.  For example, it would be the limit of $11,000 minus the $9,000 we contributed in 2025 producting a value of $2,000.

At tis point I am leaning towards taking the CRA support advice and just submitting as is.
