Quick update: TurboTax suggested a workaround for the farming income statement issue, which required removing the partnership percentage and manually overriding the net revenue on Schedule L. This “solution” is far from ideal, especially since the keying summary TP‑80.AP.V still shows the percentage in cell 50.
Because of this, I ended up printing my parents’ full returns instead ~46 pages each. I also discovered that the keying summary cannot be printed double‑sided, even though the rest of the return can.
I’m really disappointed that the actual fix for the farming statement won’t be available until mid‑May. This year has been significantly more work, and now I’m sending a 92‑page package through Canada Post on top of having already paid for the software. It’s frustrating to pay extra for postage because of an issue that should have been resolved in the software itself.
