I began this tax return over a month ago, now the price to file has almost tripled, why? I have a simple return, can I file for free?

Depending on what you have as far as what you are claiming will depend on which TurboTax software you will need. When you say a simple return- does that include any medical expenses and/or any donations? If yes, then you will need to use our TurboTax Deluxe.
