Do I have to report self-employment income if it is less than $2,000? (In Alberta)

Married and my partner earns more than $40,000 a year. My only source of employment income for 2022 was self-employment less than $2,000

Yes, you must report that income. But if you have no expenses, then you can enter it as "Other Employment Income". Use the “Find” tool 🔍 to search for “tips”. Select “Tips, Gratuities, and Other Employment Income” and then click the “Go” button.

Please note that if you are using TurboTax Online, you must select "Create A Different Return" instead of transferring your information from 2021, if you were self-employed in 2021. If you transfer your info, your self-employment will be transferred as well, and you start your 2022 return the Self-Employed version of TurboTax.
