According to TurboTax Canada, you can authorize a representative directly online by using the CRA "My Account". On the main welcome page, click the "Authorized Representative" option under the Personal Information tab (s), you will be able to immediately authorize your chosen representative here.
However, to effectively link to your CRA "My Account" web portal, the person you've nominated will need to receive a Rep ID from the CRA first.
