I have 2 T4A's and in the Expense section the income from box 20 is combined. How do I separate them or do I put all the expenses together?

TurboTax will combine the income from all your T4A's on one T2125 statement. You can combine all your expenses for both businesses and enter this way if the commissions are earned for the same type of industry.

The only way to separately enter these would be to:

  1. Enter one T4a slip as usual, then enter the expenses that relate to it on the T2125 which the income has transferred.
  2. Enter the amount from Box 20 of the 2nd T4a "manually" on a new T2125 under "Sales, Commissions & Fees". And of course, enter the related expenses here as well.

If you choose to do it this way, you may be questioned by CRA as to where the other T4A you were issued is, you'd simply need to show proof that it was separately entered on the T2125.
