If you've entered an amount from any of the boxes on the slips listed here, you have what the CRA considers to be self-employment or business income:

  • T4 slip: box 81, 82 or 83
  • T4A slip: box 20 or 48
  • T4A slip: box 28 and you selected Yes to the question Does the income declared in Box 028 consist of fees collected for services you provided? in TurboTax Online
  • T3 slip: box 24 (foreign business income)

If you have an amount in any of these boxes, TurboTax will ask additional questions to report the income as self-employment/business income. You only need to answer basic information, such as business name and address (can be your own), industry code, and fiscal period (Jan 01 to December 31).

Youressaesaystocheck t4, t4a, and t3's for numbers in the appropriate boxesthT Cra would considered a self employed person. None of those boxes on these forms have any amou to associated with them. Please re evaluate pricing as I am not co sidereal to be self employed by CRA. AWAITING YOUR RESPONSE. Thank you.

I've checked there's T4A's and T3'sand there are noaou using Thebes referred to. CRA doesn't consider ego be a self employed person. Your fee needs to be adjusted to reflect thatCRA does not change sidereal me asself employed. I look forward to a correction on your invoice so I can file my return. Thank you.

As we cannot see what was claimed on your end, we suggest that you contact our phone support team who can view your screen to see where TurboTax would advise you to upgrade to TurboTax self-employed.
