If you live in Canada and work in the US, you will pay taxes to both the US and Canada, but because of tax treaties, you will not pay the full amount of both. You pay the US taxes and get a credit for that against your Canadian taxes - Canadian taxes being higher. If you live in the US, you will not have to file or pay Canadian taxes except if you have certain Canadian properties or investments which create a tax liability.
You can use your same login credentials to start a US return through https://turbotax.intuit.com/
