My spouse has a T4RIF, a T4RSP and a T4 slip, but it says she has a pension income of $16,874.33 which is not found on any T4 slips. Where does this amount come from?

She has 3 slips that are shown on her income summary, however there is an additional $16,874.33 that is called pension income.  I do not understand where this amount is coming from?

You likely "split your pension" with your spouse.

When you split your pension with your spouse, you will still see the full amount of the pension you received on your tax return as Pension Income on Line 115.

Then further down you will notice the amount you are splitting with your spouse is deducted in the next section to arrive at Net Income (Line 210 - Deduction for Split Pension Amount).

Your spouse will have one entry on Line 116.
