Hi,
I have a family of 6 members.... 4 of them are employed. 2 have self employed status. What product is right form for tax filing in 2024?
With TurboTax Desktop (for Windows only), you can use any version to prepare almost any kind of T1 tax return. Home & Business is the one we recommend for Self-Employment income, but you can still use it for the family members that don't have Self-Employment income.
TurboTax Online Self-Employed has all the features that the other version of TurboTax Online have, so again, if you have a multi-return package, you can use the returns to create tax returns for non-Self-Employed family members.
If you want to use TurboTax Online, the two people with Self-Employment income would need to use TurboTax Online Self-Employed. The others would need to use whatever version matches their tax situation. You can also buy TurboTax Online multiple return packages from 3rd party retailers like Costco, Staples, etc...
If you have a Windows 10/11 computer, you can use any version of TurboTax Desktop, even Basic, although that only comes with 4 returns. You can buy it from us on our website or from a retailer like Costco, Staples, etc...
So, if I buy Home and Business version or Self Employed version from Costco that allows me 8 returns, can I not use it for filing simple returns with only T4As as well?

Thank you for the clarification.
Is there a discounted version of Turbotax if I need to file T2s for 3 corporations?
