Yes, you can claim the Ontario Staycation Tax Credit for staying at a campground in Ontario.
According to CRA, Ontario residents can claim 20% of their eligible 2022 accommodation expenses, for example, for a stay at a hotel, cottage or campground, when filing their personal Income Tax and Benefit Return for 2022. Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
Sorry. Just to confirm it’s seasonal. We don’t spend any more than 2-3 days at a time every couple of weeks but it stays there from May until October.
Sorry Turbo Tax, when I entered it, confirmed it’s stays 30 days and under.
