Take out the pennies from the boxes and make them whole dollar amount. The program is having issues with the pennies in the amounts of boxes and also the total needs to have full dollar with no pennies.
Round your values for each of the amounts to nearest dollar. Then adjust the two totals at the top of screen. I submitted mine and had overstated the amounts by 30 cents. It allowed me to advance and sum it via netfile.
I keep getting a message that the T1198 form has not been finalized. How were you able to submit your taxes via Netfile?
I have the same issue. Have you been able to resolve it?
2024 is supposed to be the first year that you CAN netfile with a T1198 form. It seems that most working at turbo tax have no idea about this issue with the form, I have called twice and just keep being told that it will be fixed soon - with no estimate as to when. This is a big letdown.
<2024 is supposed to be the first year that you CAN netfile with a T1198 form.>
Precisely... And yet you can't enter 2024 as the payment year... ridiculous.
I do wonder what will happen with those who managed to Netfile with an apparently "locked" form and a wrong payment year...
I downloaded the latest Turbo Tax upgrade file today and it allowed me to netfile . Where i key in year it was still not allowing 2024 so I keyed in 24.
Successfully net filed today. We shall see responses from CRA
Thanks. Did you ever get a "Save" button or similar on the T1198?
I'm still not able to enter any kind of T1198 information. I posted a message earlier noting that it's really bad they have a checkbox for "Yes, I need to file a T1198" that doesn't actually let you do it (or even trigger a warning when you don't).
The update today removed the "Yes, I need to file a T1198" button. Lol, Turbotax. Well played.
I was able to enter my info for 2024 - I read that someone was able to get it to work by putting .01 into Box 68555, I did that and it work. Others are saying to just round the the whole dollar and it will work. I netfiled today.
