Self employment for food delivery with skipthedishes. I'm paying for taxes instead of refund although my income is only 11,000$. is this normal?

Yes, as a driver for a food delivery company such as Skip The Dishes, you are considered an independent contractor. This means the company doesn’t withhold taxes from your income on your behalf. When you file your taxes, you will have to pay the Federal and Provincial income tax rate based on your income.
