I’m not in Quebec. I’m in BC. I do not know exactly which form is the issue, but I assume it is a T1198, as my other forms are T4 and T4A. I’ll give TurboTax until the end of the week, at which point if not fixed then I will file with someone else and will expect a refund.
This does not make any sense. T3 and T5 aren't new.
I am in QC and I do have a T5 which is blocking me from filling my tax return. When checking the link you sent, there is no development listed for Releve 3 (which is the equivalent for federal T5).
When can we expect this to be completed? I've been a loyal customer for 10+ year using Turbotax and this is very frustrating and disappointing not to be able to file basic tax return.
I have the same issue but with T1198.. received lump sum ..
this is embarrassing. I should print and file manually for the first time in 23 years, to see if I get my NOA before turbotax figures out their multiple issues.
You can try but Turbotax didn't allow me to print or save to PDF until whatever updates are required, are done.
I know. that's another awesome feature. I have 8 returns prepaid, but they wont even let me see the Ontario forms till they decided I can finish my taxes.
If they had real answers I would be fine. Still a month till filing deadine. Its the vague answers, and blaming CRA that is troublesome. CRA is a gong show, but blaming them because I cant file my wife's return which has nothing to do with cap gains is annoying.
Some forms are still locked by CRA & RQ and not finalized by yet. Please refer to this link Why does TurboTax say my forms are locked or haven't been finalized?
As soon a these forms gets finalized, we will be updating them in TurboTax. Our development them is working on resolving the issue, ASAP.
We appreciate your patience.
I must admit now I am confused. You just said it is CRA that locks the forms and finalized them, but the link says it is Turbo Tax that finalizes the forms in order to align with CRA requirements. So which is it? CRA’s fault or TurboTax? Secondly the link that you sent, and which has been referenced many times by multiple moderators, is not helpful at all and does not explain the issue and the specific actions being done to correct them. We just have to trust that it will magically get fixed before the tax deadline. That frankly is not acceptable if you’ve already accepted payment for the product.
