Open TurboTax
@Wesnv Windows 10 still supports TurboTax software for the fiscal year 2024 and previous years. We will provide an update for the Tax Year 2025 once it is launched on December 16, 2025.
All versions of windows 10 should be supported! Where was the warning to your customers that support was going to be discontinued. I just found out yesterday. Just because Microsoft dropped support doesn't mean that intuit has too! In fact your competition understands your customer base BETTER than you do. As a IT professional and TTAX user since the 3.5 floppy days moving to a new system is NOT a simple task! The 2025 tax year should of been a transition period giving much needed time to move to another platform. For those using the LTSC versions, I agree with you, it's not like moving from 32bit to 64bit Win 11 still has Win10 internals
Well its out on Amazon, and only supports Windows 11 on PC, and not Windows 10 at all. What a horrible company. 80% profit margin, multiple lawsuits. Its obvious their customers are only viewed as profit centers, and what they want is irrelevant.
H&R Block supports Windows 10 for 2025.
"We don't want to put out information until we are 100% certain that it's correct, and unfortunately, we sometimes don't get confirmation until the last minute.. TurboTax Canada 2025 software will be available December 16, 2025, and we have yet to hear of any change to the plan of it being Windows 11 only.
That having been said, when it was originally announced that TurboTax Desktop would no longer come on disc, many customers were upset, and at the last minute it was decided to release discs. So a last minute change has happened before."
I agree. This is just another money grab as far as I am concerned. Come on. Windows 10 ESU should be compatible.
If accepted on Windows 10 esu where will it be advertised on December 16, 2025. Some obscure place on the web?
Yes, it will be definitely stated where our customers can see information about WIN10 when the software is released tomorrow. We will return here with specifics.
@user17653935069 :When you log into your TurboTax Desktop, you will be given the choice to use WIN10 or WIN11, however windows 11 is recommended.
Please clarify.
If I purchase and download the desktop version of TurboTax for 2025, will it run and is it supported on Windows 10 ?
The idea that I have to tell it what operating system it's running on doesn't make any sense to me.
@JeffStineSailing Yes, you have to make that selection. You will be given the choice to use Windows 10 or Windows 11; however, Windows 11 is recommended.
I will pass on your feedback to the assigned department.
