We aren’t claiming disability tax credit but it’s showing up on our summary. We have tried everything to remove it but it’s not in the program

Line 31800 shows a credit of 13k+ We aren’t claiming a disability tax transfer for our son. In the clickable program the credit is not applied but in the summary is still there

Please follow these instructions:

  1. Select the magnifying glass icon (or Find), then type Disability Amount Transfer and select Go.
  2. Select the dependant whose disability amount you want to transfer (or to cancel the transfer), then select Enter Credit Info.
  3. On the Claim Dependant Credits step, uncheck Disability amount transfer, then select Continue.

Is this with respect to dependent that previously qualified for disability tax credit? If so, Turbotax has a bug and even when DTC is no longer eligible, cannot remove this easily.  The easiest way to workaround this is to REMOVE the dependent profile in turbotax, and check to make sure DTC isn't being automatically added to your return. Then you can ADD the dependent profile again.
