When I wasn't employed I painted for a friend, as well cut grass for a neighbor and other odd jobs for cash. How to I claim that? is it considered self-employed?
I was only able to find employment for a short time, to get by I did odd jobs for some family friends and neighbors. Painting, lawn care, gardening, tree trimming.
Would this be considered self-employed income? Do I have to claim it?

It would be considered self-employment, and CRA would expect you to report it.
