Where I can see the detailed calculation of taxable dividends?

The Taxable Canadian Dividends are reported on Line 12000 and nd the federal tax is reported on Line 40425.

  • If you are using TurboTax Online > You will be able to see Line 12000 only since the federal tax is included in the calculation of the final number of the non-refundable tax credit Line 35000
  • If you are using TurboTax Desktop/Download > you can switch to Forms view from the top blue bar > at the bottom bar, choose T1-General from the forms list and check the calculations on both Lines

Keep in mind the software will readjust the taxable and credit amounts based on the actual dividends reported on the first box.

I hope this was helpful
