Why do they say my CRA account is locked I tried sending it

If your NETFILE Account is locked:

For security reasons, the Canada Revenue Agency's NETFILE service will lock your account if you attempt to file and fail 5 times. You need to call the CRA and ask them to unlock your account. If you are in Canada or the United States, you can call the CRA at 1-800-959-8281. If you are elsewhere, you can call 613-940-8495. This page has more ways to contact the CRA: Contact the Canada Revenue Agency

 

When your account is unlocked, you can sign back into TurboTax and try to submit to NETFILE again. Take note of any error you get. You'll need to resolve that error before trying to file again or you'll end up with a locked account again.

 

If your Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) MyAccount is locked:

You need to call the CRA and ask them to unlock your account. If you are in Canada or the United States, you can call the CRA at 1-800-959-8281. If you are elsewhere, you can call 613-940-8495. This page has more ways to contact the CRA: Contact the Canada Revenue Agency

 

If your TurboTax Account is locked:

Please wait 24 hours and try again. Make sure you are using the correct username and password. You can also use the "Try something else" link.  If you are still not able to get into your account, you can call customer support at 1-888-829-8608 for more help.

 

During tax season (from CRA NETFILE opening (mid-February) to the regular filing deadline (April 30), we're available 7 days a week during these hours:

  • 9 AM to midnight ET for English support
  • 9 AM to 9 PM ET for French support

During the rest of the year (May 1 to mid-February), we're available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM ET for English and French support.
