Hi, I'm entering capital gains/losses in the Summary section (not T5008), but I'm at transactions from November 2016 and it doesn't seem to allow me to enter any more

is there a maximum number of entries allowed this way? Should I input the remaining using the T5008 data entry section?

You certainly can use the T5008 input fields. Make sure you set the toggle switch to capital gains.
