When you begin your return in TurboTax Online, make sure you have access to to.tt23 files. The "TurboTax Desktop" option must be chosen when prompted about how you prepared your return the previous year. After that, you will be prompted to choose a file for the 2023 tax year from your download folder.

Where do I find the the option to selct the "TurboTax Desktop" for the previous year? My dislay seems to be missing menu options. How do I correct this?
@lance-hill2013 Unfortunately, at this time, the option to import from the prior year is not available. This feature is no longer accessible because it has been disabled.
If the feature for "Transfers your info from your previous year's returns" has been disabled in the Online Edition; how do I get a refund for my purchase in order to buy the Desktop version?
