Can i claim improvements against capital gains on a recreational property when I sell it if I have no receipts?

I have sold my recreational property for a profit.  I built a shop on it but I have no receipts for the construction costs.  Is there any way I can still claim the expenses against the capital gains?

It is unwise to claim things for which you don't have receipts. The CRA expects you to have receipts and they may ask for them if your tax return is audited.
