The new Canada Caregiver Credit doesn’t require that your dependant live with you, just that they are dependant on you and that they have a Form T2201 (Disability Tax Credit Certificate) on file with the CRA.

For the disability amount transfer, you still may be able to claim that, however there are special rules if your parent receives attendant care (ex: nursing home)
