I am a new immigrant so I am exempt from filing form T 1135 the first year. However TurboTax automatically ask questions regarding overseas properties? What to do?

For the year in which an individual becomes a Canadian resident for the first time, Form T1135 is not required. Nevertheless, if you were previously a Canadian resident and are returning, the exemption does not apply, and you must file a T1135 from the entire year.
