I rented out my condo in June. Can I deduct the credit checks I paid for to assess potential tenants?

Also, I assume I can only claim expenses like condo fees only for the period it's be rented and not before. Right?

As credit checks are not listed in this Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) link: Rental expenses you can deduct you may want to contact the CRA at 1-800-959-8281 to enquired if it is eligible.

Yes you are correct, only a portion of these expenses are eligible for claiming as an eligible deduction, and the portion relates to the amount of your property that is being used to earn the rental income and the length of time, for example, the number of days per year, that it is available and being used to earn that income.
