Our home was rebuilt from a house fire and everything had to be replaced. Do I claim any home accessibility expanses?

The answer is No.

• As per CRA, renovations that make homes safer or more accessible for seniors or the disabled may qualify for the Home Accessibility Expenses.
• However, you could be qualified for the Taxpayer relief provisions under the Extraordinary Circumstances section.

Note: You can be granted relief from penalties or interest when you were prevented from otherwise meeting his tax obligations by extraordinary circumstances, actions of the CRA, or financial hardship.
