Should I deduct the property taxes that I actually paid within a year or the amount that was incurred regardless of how much of that I paid?

As per Canada Revenue Agency (CRA): Line 9180 – Property taxes: you can deduct property taxes you incurred for your rental property for the period it was available. For instance, you can deduct property taxes for the land and building where your rental property is situated and for the period it was available.
