In order to be able to deduct meals as a truck driver you must be traveling for at least 24 hours and traveling at least 160 kilometers from your employer's establishment. Once this has been established you can claim up to 80% of your meal expenses as a deduction. This amount may be reduced to 50% if you are traveling to the United States.
