Teaching in South Korea - Do I have to claim the airfare and room rental costs paid by my employer in South Korea as a taxable fringe benefit?

My son is teaching in South Korea for one year. The housing rental costs and the airfare to South Korea and back home to Canada are paid by his employer in South Korea. Will he have to claim those costs paid by his employer as a taxable benefit when he files his Canadian taxes?

You can probably exclude some of the specific costs for living out allowance and travel.  It should be specified in the contract agreement how much is income and how much is for living expenses.  Some information is available here, but I suggest calling CRA for information about what forms or letters should be obtained from the employer.
